Week 3 – Jojoba Oil for Acne Treatment

This entry is part 4 of 6 in the series Jojoba Oil

It’s been 3 weeks, and my forehead looks great! I’m still following exactly what I’m supposed to do. Unfortunately, my cheeks are still not changing. I do know that this treatment may take a while before major changes, and I haven’t given up hope yet. I still enjoy the cool feeling of the toner.

The burning effects of the toner no longer happens, so I think my skin is adapting to its use.  It is actually really refreshing once it dries, because my face is moist and replenished. I really do think this treatment is working, and I can’t wait to compare the differences in 3 more weeks!

I am concerned that my diet is the underlying cause of my breakouts.  Obviously junk and fast foods are not ideal for the perfect complexion so the big question that has crossed my mind is what foods are good for your skin? I decided to find out. I’ve looked on many websites and found all kinds of answers!

Sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and cantaloupe replenish your skin’s antioxidants, so any forming pimples can disappear before they start showing. Citrus fruits like limes, grapefruit, oranges, and lemons all provide Vitamin C which is an antioxidant. They help keep skin firm and strong. Black, green, and white teas contain an antioxidant that helps stop inflammatory chemicals that are involved acne outbreaks. Spinach, turnip greens, and broccoli supply Vitamin A, which helps keep skin from becoming dry, tough, or scaly. Salmon, trout, tuna, mackerel, sardines, herring, and most shellfish all contain Omega-3s that fight inflammation.
